I took three private classes with Sharon; she taught me several important yoga stretches that have helped me to keep mobile. I found Sharon to be a great instructor! I'd never been to a yoga class before and was somewhat nervous about it being too 'spiritual'. Sharan accurately assessed my needs and provided me with exactly what I required. She is able to teach yoga to all types of people, so my concerns about the classes being too metaphysical were unfounded. I found Sharan to be enthusiastic, caring, polite, and most of all, a terrific yoga instructor. I've done the odd bit of yoga but semi-private classes with Sharan at Yoga On The Flow was the first time I really took it seriously. In a few classes I was already noticing a difference in my flexibility and body mechanics. I moved and breathed easier and I felt more centered. I will definitely be taking classes again soon!
My experience doing therapeutic Yoga with Sharan was fabulous! I really needed to learn some tools to relax and clear my mind, as well as work my body. She listened carefully to my needs and concerns and developed a practice that I can do in two parts, morning and night, that targets my body and mind to wake me up and calm me down! My back and hips feel great, and I am quickly learning how to shut off my over active brain and I actually fall asleep easily now! I highly recommend her services, she is professional, friendly and knowledgeable and it's always great to work with people who are passionate about what they do!
I have only ever practiced yoga in a group setting and to have a one on one yoga session with Sharan was really great. I find that in a large group setting an instuctor will rarely come and correct your posture or give you advise and it was really nice to have that one on one experience. I originally made an appointment with Yoga on the Flow because I was having shoulder pain. Sharan created a practice specifically for me that targeted my area of pain and went through each posture with me ensuring that I new exactly what to do and that I was doing it properly. The practice did wonders for my shoulder pain and I left there feeling super relaxed like I had just come from a day at the spa! I felt energized yet totally zen and calm. I would definitely recommend Yoga on the Flow to anyone that is experiencing body pain or somebody who is simply interested in bettering their yoga pracitce!
